This year, BWD Wine Distribution celebrates its 10th anniversary on the Slovak market. We are marking this milestone with a three-day portfolio tasting across three cities where our branches are located – Prague, Brno and Bratislava.
We are delighted that you will be joining us in person for the BWD Portfolio Tasting. To make the event easier to navigate and help with the organization, we have prepared a detailed event schedule including information about your accommodation, transportation, participation fees and the event programme.

Where the tasting takes place
Event Concept
The Portfolio Tasting will be held in a walk-around tasting format, featuring wines from the participating wineries in our portfolio. The wineries will be arranged throughout the venue according to country and wine style. Each winery will have a designated table featuring the wines from the list you provided to us. We will take care of distributing the wines directly to your respective tables.
We kindly ask you to respect the visual identity of the event and refrain from bringing large promotional materials such as roll-ups, branded walls or other large displays. If you would like to have winery catalogues, brochures or flyers available on your table, feel free to bring them to the event.
Participant Information
Each winery representative is required to pay a participation fee of 330 € per person, per day. If more than one representative from your winery is attending, the fee will apply separately to each person. Please inform our winery coordinator about the number of participants attending. The participation fee will be invoiced to you prior to the event.
The fee includes: accommodation, meals, transportation between the individual venues (flights are not included).
If you plan to arrive in any of the cities before the scheduled event dates or depart after the event has ended, any additional costs outside the official event dates will be at your own expense. We recommend booking your accommodation at the hotels where you will be staying during the event.
Daily Plan
In October, we will also send you the event schedule as a PDF by email and create a dedicated WhatsApp group, where we will keep you updated throughout the event regarding the programme, accommodation and transfers.

Urban Transport
Hotel Royal Prague (Thámova 688/36, Karlín) ↔ Václav Havel Airport
- Best option: bus 100 → Zličín stop (metro line B) → straight through, no transfer, to Florenc/Křižíkova (the hotel sits on line B). About 35–40 min total.
- Alternative: Airport Express (AE) bus straight to Praha hl. n. (main train station), then one stop by metro/tram.
- Taxi/Uber: about 25–30 min.
- Prague public transport: metro lines A/B/C + trams + buses, tickets via the PID Lítačka app or SMS, valid across all modes of transport.
Brno – Wannieck Gallery (Ve Vaňkovce 2 – right next to the main train station)
- From Bratislava Airport: bus 61 to the main station (~25 min) → train/bus to Brno (~1.5–2 h, RegioJet/ČD) → 5 min walk from Brno hl. n.
- From Prague (airport): direct RegioJet long-distance bus “Prague Airport – Brno” (~2.5 h), you get off at hl. n./AN Grand, 5 min walk.
- From Brno Airport (Tuřany): bus E76 to Hlavní nádraží/AN Grand (~25 min), 5 min walk.
- Brno public transport: trams, trolleybuses, buses, tickets via the DPMB app or a vending machine at the stop.
Bratislava – Art Hotel William (Laurinská 17, Old Town)
- From Bratislava Airport (BTS): bus 61 to the city center (~25 min) → 5–10 min walk into the Old Town, or taxi/Bolt ~15 min.
- From Vienna Schwechat Airport: Slovak Lines/FlixBus direct to Bratislava (Nivy or the main station stop), ~1–1.25 h, up to 27 departures/day → from Nivy it’s 15–20 min on foot or a few stops by trolleybus.
- Bratislava public transport: tram/trolleybus/bus, buy tickets in advance via the IDS BK app or SMS — inspections do happen.
